NP. We have a 2007 Prius with 160k+ miles on it and the original big battery is going strong. The regular battery has been replaced like a normal car.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I have a 90 mile round trip commute and am on my second Prius. The first (2009) went 250,000 miles and the second (2016) is at 125,000. Very few issues other than regular maintenance. What is surprising is how roomy the car is, my 6'3" 33 year old son can sit comfortable in the back seat. The cargo space is great, especially with the back seat down.
Did you have to replace battery on the first Prius?

OP here- Is yours the hybrid or the plug in hybrid?
I'm thinking of going to the dealership and looking, but I would probably walk out with itI'm planning on buying a bit down the road.
You can buy one out of Maryland.
We tried buying a plug in VW for my husband, and the dealer would only sell to us if we were a Maryland resident.
