Rather than taking it to the shop, you should've just changed the battery. Walmart, surprisingly, sell good batteries. Hope they don't charge  you too much. Good luck[/quote]

$200 for the new battery and labor.  Considering I have no tools, knowledge or space to do it (a woman living in a condo) I'd say it's fair. :-)

I replaced a battery myself that I had bought at autozone. When it failed I stopped at the autozone on Georgia ave, as the guy was ringing me up for a new battery, he asked for my phone number for a warranty. I said "I bought the last one here, maybe that's still under warranty" It was. Not only did dude give met the new one for free, he came out to my car and put it in for me.[/quote]
