When did Google maps add scooters to pedestrian directions? SCOOTERSISTS ARE NOT PEDESTRIANS. How the hell do I remove this option??
I don't see any scooters in the pedestrian directions.
They were definitely there on Saturday. Maybe there are no scooters near you at the moment. I hate it - if I want to walk, I want to walk - I don't want to see a scooter option under "walking."
PP you're responding to. No, I asked for directions where there are scooters. Plus, if you didn't want to use a scooter, all you would have to do is disregard the scooter option?
Google is partnering with Lime. So maybe not all scooter brands, but it is expanding. And it's awful. It would be one thing if it offered a scooter tab (like it does with cars, public transportation, etc) but it overlaps suggested scooter routes with walking routes at the same time, and it's definitely obnoxious. Scooters are closer to bikes than walking and should not be in the same category as a pedestrian.
Agreed. I’m looking for bike lanes when on a scooter.
