PP probably didn't read all the way through or misread that you're talking about your sister.

Anyways, I don't remember my parents ever using non-family for care but they also literally rarely ever went out for date nights. They don't much like each other.

I prefer family if available, but not against using non-family care. Have a great lady who helps out on weekends that used to be one of the kid's daycare teacher.
