Yes.  My 11-year old has one on the bottom.  He has had it 6 months zero problems.  He doesn’t even notice it.  He is keeping lower teeth from shifting over/maintaining space.  My kids lose teeth on the late side so he still has quite a few baby teeth.

He has a palate expander on upper palate which he got at the same time and he can’t wait to get it off.  1 more month!  He slurs his words a little with it and has a hard time with spaghetti or gooey cheese pizza.[/quote]

Just curious... why did you wait until 11?  Was his tooth just pulled at 11 or did you monitor the teeth and saw movement now?  Thanks.[/quote]

It was a baby tooth that fell out naturally in an atypical order so it will be there just a short time until others fall out/adult teeth emerge.  It’s preventing other teeth shifting.
