You speculate 1) that a pool was involved; 2) that the pool was a backyard pool that was not sufficiently protected and that 3) the OP is more at fault than the nanny. You have none of that information, but you choose to assume the worst- based really on nothing, and pile guilt on a mom who is probably already feeling incredibly neglectful and awful in her hiring choices.
