The major difference between iCloud and Google is that Google uses your data (from your photos) to sell ads. Apple (iCloud) doesn't do that. Photo sharing necessarily shares data with other people (family members, etc.). What you don't want is to share your data with a company that is storing that information in perpetuity. (Some folks aren't concerned about data privacy, which is fine, but as the thread is about sharing family photos, some people don't want their children's photos shared on Google.) I'm not sure what PP is referring to in terms of the similarity between the two apps.[/quote]
