I’m the one who posted about doing different things in class. Nowhere did I say anything about modifying moves for an injury, so everyone settle down. Obviously people need to do that. No big deal. I was thinking about a recent class where two different people did challenging alternative moves. These people were killing it in class. Not compensating. Whatever. Who cares anyways.
But how do you know? I'm often one of the ones "killing it" in my classes, and I still sometimes need to modify. You have no idea what's going on with someone's body, even the strong people.
+1 I am also one who is usually "killing it," very strong and flexible, but I have some joints that don't work and so often need to modify. Usually there's not a good modification and I'll end up doing something totally different. And yes, it will be challenging, because that's what I'm there for. You say "who cares" but only after complaining about it. Myob.
