Just keep the Cruz. If you want to use it for a newborn, buy the bassinet to go with it. Don't snap a carseat into a stroller frame. It increases the chances of both positional asphyxia and positional plagiocephaly for babies to be in a carseat, swing, bouncy seat, or other such "device" for too long of a period. Carseats are for the car, not for use as a stroller seat, infant seat, makeshift bassinet, etc. The Cruz should work well until your baby is out of the stroller stage. It is a great choice. If either of you are runners or plan to go "off-roading," you will also need a jogging/hiking stroller once your baby is a little older. If you want to ride your bike with baby, you'll need a bike trailer when the baby is over a year of age. Until then, the Cruz should be fine.
op here. thanks. we don't have a snap in snap out car seat anyway. i agree with you. we only use car seats in the car. our first had to wear a helmet. it wasn't due to being in baby devices but i know that increases the chance.
