It's also a class that's a real slog of busy work on a compressed time frame, but would be an easy period, possibly fun during the school year.[/quote] I'm lucky in that we can afford the cost (although it's not without pain), but it makes a real difference in one child's ability to be able to continue with band for all four years at RMIB, and freeing up space for a class for my other child who is taking AP Chem next year (a double period). It's less than optimal to have to pay for a class that's in fulfillment of a ridiculous requirement (why can't computer programming or AP Computer Programming -- Java satisfy the requirement?) but it's not as simple a decision to take it during the year to save $600 for every family.[/quote]
