The school is going to pay for it.

Frankly, this isn't an "accident".  This is what happens when schools don't think of their classes as inclusive communities.  The school is responsible for fixing it.   Sadly, if it doesn't cost them something, whether it's effort or money, then they aren't going to change what happened.  [/quote]

This. The class picture isn't a big deal, but the teacher not considering your child enough of a member of the community to fail to notice her absence is a very big deal. [/quote]
