They may have algebra foundational work, like 22 +x = 32. I guarantee those places or books aren’t teaching advanced algebra. If your child was at the level of advanced algebra in 2nd gr, the school would know. It would be extraordinary. A kid taking algebra even in 5th is very, very, very rare. In 6th, it’s rare but not unheard of. [/quote]
