Huge spread in age in grades because of redshirting. I need to remind myself of this when I hear about what kids are doing in what grade -- second graders reading Lord of the Rings or whatnot. My district has an end of the year cutoff, some kids are 4 for half the year. My DC started first grade younger than than my friend's kid when she started K. [/quote]
