It's a waste of taxpayer money since the ROI on it is terrible. There are more cost effective ways to deal with the issue. Why are Rs so happy to waste taxpayer money all of a sudden? Dems offered $25 bil for border security, including more agents and tech solutions. Why did Trump decline that offer when it included the things he's now asking for? And let's remember, Trump said he would own the shutdown. Indeed, in 2013, during the shutdown, he even stated that it's *always* the president's fault when a shutdown happens.
