Thanks, that's good to hear, and describes my son to a tee. I should add that while he  still does a lot of verbal parroting and repetition, he does it less than he did a year ago, and he also often expresses his needs and observations in perfectly clear sentences. He's just not consistent. This same school also was convinced he didn't know his own name, because he didn't respond consistently to it. Secretly I thought, "Maybe he's just ignoring you?"
