Hi 12/7, I'm another of the PPs from up-thread. I started Noom in November. I've only lost 6 lbs so far, about 1 lb a week, which is less than expected given I have a lot to lose. However, I have been tracking every day since I signed up, and have improved my eating. I have concrete plans for more exercise after Christmas (rearranged my work schedule) so looking forward to that making a bigger difference. I think of this as basically a WW diet with a better motivational tool. The pop up notifications and desire to check off the day's tasks are the big selling points. I don't love the coach but she does create accountability.
12/7 here. I agree with you on all points. I haven't even introduced myself to my group because, frankly, years of WW meetings taught me that group support doesn't do much for me. I have just enough time to fit in the notifications, tracking, and exercise every day and a quick reply once a week to my coach (who is fine but not a dealbreaker either way). My own weight loss continues slow but steady. I was able to navigate my office party Sat. night, passing up all but the food I really wanted and had budgeted for. I went a little over but tracked it nonetheless--and the scale showed no change. I usually look at the holiday party as a chance to go nuts, so this was a huge win.
