We are in our fifth year of using Hearst aftercare, and there's nothing wrong with it! (And not sure what the knock on it is, frankly.) It's unstructured free play, which is exactly what elementary school children need after a day of school, especially since there is barely any break time during the school day. As PP said, there are opportunities for more structured activities if you'd like to sign up for them.
+1. I love the away after school is set up. You can mix and match aftercare with enrichment classes. Innis is very flexible and allows you to just pay for the days you need. We can create a nice mix of sports, language, cooking, etc. and some time for just unstructured play.
+1 this set up
