As for why BMW typically has worse resale value, there are a multitude of reasons. The most significant of which is the incorrect perception that Hondas are such reliable cars. This perception is the reason why a used 2-3 year old Honda are usually sold with just a modest discount from an all-new price. People are so set in their thinking that a used Honda is a great deal that they pay entirely too much for one. Another reason is that BMWs are often purchased as status vehicles and as such people tend to want to drive late models with newer body styles.[/quote]

*shrug* you can dismiss it if you want, but I'll point out that you didn't address any of the factual points I made. I am actually not a fan of current BMW vehicles despite owning two of them in the past which I enjoyed immensely. I feel that BMW has lost their way with their product selection in the US market and nothing they offer interests me. On the other hand, our family is on our fourth Honda Odyssey. I grew up handing wrenches to my dad as he did the maintenance on our family's Civics, Accords, and later Acuras. My bald spot dreams of a S2000 on certain summer nights. But sure, I'm a BMW dealer because you don't agree with the facts I laid out...[/quote]
