I have to say that I think Roseanne most likely DID know that VJ is African-American, but I don't think that was the inspiration for the Planet of the Apes comment. Normally, I would definitely think that a comment like that about a women who is described as African American would have been inspired by racism. But looking at her picture sheds a different light on it. [/quote]
