Your husband sounds cool though - perhaps instead he should teach your son about hip-hop history to provide some context. As a hip-hop head when I was much younger it bugs me when my kids don't know the origins of the music they hear today - Bruno Mars, for example, is the best music thief around - his music is a straight re-mix from the 90s.
