I agree with the above. But OP you should talk to your husband. While I too love, love Cardi B. I understand her place in the trajectory of hip-hop - Cardi comes from a line of hip-hop women flexing their own power, like the guys do. That said, I think 11 is too young. Your husband sounds cool though - perhaps instead he should teach your son about hip-hop history to provide some context. As a hip-hop head when I was much younger it bugs me when my kids don't know the origins of the music they hear today - Bruno Mars, for example, is the best music thief around - his music is a straight re-mix from the 90s.
