On most airlines you are allowed one carry-on(small rolled) and one bag under your seat. How come in each flight they ask for additional passengers to give up their bag? They do not have enough room. I'm tired of feeling stressed out each time I fly. And I'm not afraid to fly. It is the extra BS we as flyers put up with needs to end.
Solution: have a single personal item small enough to fit under your seat. Check the rest. That's what I do. I just take a small backpack that holds my laptop and some papers and that's it. Yes, there is a fee to check bags, but you can get around that many ways like if you book with an airline credit card that offers free bags; or if you fly a lot and have elite status; or have a credit card the reimburses those fees;...or just suck up the $25. Or fly Southwest (free checked bags for everyone)
