As an immigrant I had no idea what Poms were when my DD started HS. However, once I saw her school's Poms dances, they were really talented and it required a ton of skill. DD is not in it, but honestly I am amazed at how good they are. This is dancing, and very difficult dancing. She is in Sherwood High, so I think they lost to QO this year, but won it last school year. Making a team at Sherwood is very difficult, my DD wasn't interested the whole explanation came about after me asking why are there girls waving Poms.... today![/quote]

Yes, you are right, Poolesville won this year, I messed it up in my head. I watched their video as of course Sherwood kids thought they should have won, but the winner had by far a better and more artistic and modern dance routine. If I didn't see it for myself(on youtube), I never would have known and believed what a difficult athletic and dance skill is being in Poms today.[/quote]
