The concept was developed in communities where there was low parent engagement and low student achievement. A big part is supposed to be to education and provide parents with ways to help their kid. It begins with the teacher home visits in the beginning of the year, and the APTT meetings are another piece. It probably isn't 'needed' for parents who haunt this board, but you are not the target audience. Whether other parents who are less comfortable and adept engaging with their child's teachers find this informative and useful is a better measure. [/quote]
