Right around the time that picture was taken I heard a rumor that the kid was forced to hug the cop by his parents and that's why he was crying. But I can't find any reports to substantiate that, so it remains a rumor.

Secondly, conflicting news reports have said one mom abused the kids with closed hand punches for misbehavior. But the same reports say the mom CONVICTED of the abuse was not the one who did the abuse.

Then there are police reports from the other kid who said the first kid was lying about the abuse in the first place.

It's a strange set of circumstances all-around and I feel so bad for those kids. No matter what they deserved a family that loved them and the best life. And two parents, one of which didn't work at all, in one of the highest cost of living areas in the country with five siblings - is not that.[/quote]
