1)  Nativists like to claim they're fine with [i]legal[/i] immigration.  OK then, if the problem is simply about people sneaking in, then one solution is to make it easier to immigrate legally.

2)  Until and unless you can find a source of labor for all the jobs that U.S. citizens refuse to do (a firmly established pattern, BTW), then it would appear we need to keep allowing people in.

3) We are a country of immigrants - that is our history, that is our culture, that is our way of life.  I would advise extreme caution before moving our society away from that cornerstone ethos.[/quote]
