Please. Stop glorifying ignorance. [/quote] It is kind of pretentious, in my opinion, to use a French phrase in the US when you could just as well use an English phrase. I suppose it goes back to the days when all of the fancy restaurants served French food. I have the same objection to "amuse-bouche" -- which is also a lot harder for English-speakers to pronounce than prix fixe, since English doesn't have the close front rounded vowel [y].[/quote]
