That odds would make these school on par with selective colleges!  I don't think so.

Potomac is about 35% - 40% acceptance, Sidwell probably around 20-25%.

Before any Potomac parents out there start throwing a fit, reason for the higher percentage is because historically Potomac's yield is not as high as Sidwell's (or the GDS, NCS/STA bunch).

Potomac, as much as it wants to be, just does not have as much name recognition as Sidwell.  Not a reflection that it is a bad school, so calm down.

From my experience dealing with families from all different private schools in the DMV, Potomac families, by far, have the largest chip on their shoulders.  :roll:

Nah I am not a Cathedral parent and I say GDS---the whole Harvard thing.

+ not only about H. When I just came to this forum, I thought it's troll or a joke. Then after reading many GDS parents' p, I can feel their tone is slightly different from others. Guess the whole GDS thing coming from.
