When I say she has proof, I mean exactly that. She has texts and emails and documents that back up what she says about me. She is not lying, but I have changed and she is still making life hard years later.

You don't have a case for defamation if what she is saying is true.

Invasion of privacy/false light is when someone says something that shows you in a false light.  I don't think that the information disclosed publicly needs to be false.  In other words, it could be technically true (ie, you did make the mistakes) but the context makes it otherwise offensive/distorted (ie, she is not giving the full picture of what happened, so that it looks worse than it was).  There are other types of invasion of privacy; false light is just one and may not exist as a tort in the state you're in.   [/quote]
