OP here - what I don't understand is DC didn't even get multiplication or division questions that other kids got. Which means DC was doing addition and subtraction and other easy questions, not getting all correctly so didn't move up to get more difficult questions? Or DC finished all those multiplication and division questions in the previous test and didn't get those same types of questions. Trying to figure out what happened but of course I'm getting limited information from a 7 year old.
How do you know the types of questions the other kids got on their assessment?
iREady is adaptive test hence it adapts according to your DC aptitude which is quite different then MRA administered by teacher (content of which - type of questions asked is known to parents). Bottom-line you cant compare both and expect same result. Most likely your child did not get easier questions right hence multiplication/division questions were not asked. BTW, my DC did get multiplication (2 digit multiplication) question so they do get asked

Op here - I think that’s probably what happened but I don’t understand how he got fraction and protractor questions without multiplication and division.
You get detail breakdown so you will know where your DC had issue. I think fractions were thought first so likely he didn't do well. Regarding 'protractor' it indicates he might be in advanced math (measuring degree etc.) which isn't taught in 2nd grade.
