I call BS. I've been a cop for 14 years and I could care less what color you are over this. Truth is, most cops won't make a big deal over a slightly expired DL. A license taken away by the court or DMV is one thing but a week old expired one is a different story. If possible print out your DMV appointment and carry it with you while driving.

I'm glad you get to decide how scary it is for me to be pulled over by a police officer.  I suppose you've been there when I've burst into tears each of the three times I've been pulled over in 22 years.  Or that I now roll down my back windows so you see I have children in the back seat.  You may not care, but I have no idea if I'm getting you or some trigger happy racist.  You don't get to call BS. I sincerely think that you need to seek some type of counseling or therapy. The fear you are experiencing  is something that you have created in your head and has little to do with reality. It's causing you to demonize people that you don't even know, and that is a really bad thing.

I am a cop too, and the only reason OP would be ticketed or have her car towed is if she had a horrible attitude. And what are the chances you will be pulled over? I've gone over 10 years without being pulled over.[/quote]
