Public library during a work day is full of unemployed nuts. I don’t see the point in working / studying in one if you’re of reasonable means. Don’t you have $30 a month for WiFi at home? My own food, peace and quiet. Not worried about a smelly terminally unemployed weirdo sitting next to you!
Sometimes things go wrong with home internet? Or you don't care to sit in a Starbucks for a couple hours? Our router died on us one time and I had a deadline for work that required me to be on the internet. I went to the library for a couple hours. Found the quiet room with the desks in the back. A couple weeks ago, my child had a rehearsal a bit of a drive from home. I had some work to do again, and I needed an internet connection again. The library was close and it wasn't Starbucks. Both of these were Fairfax county libraries. I was able to do what I needed there in relative quiet.
