You seem rather odd.  I would definitely ask.  I know people who went to the top schools a generation ago, people constantly try to pick their brains, but their info is very, very dated, given there are many, many more applicants now (among other reasons).  Why would you find helping someone, after your DC has already gotten admitted, "strange and or borderline aggressive (sic)"?  You seem nuts. [/quote]

Sorry, should've clarified. The parents that messaged me were ones that we knew through school/sports/other activities and have had a history of only ever talking to us when they needed something or otherwise to make snide remarks about my kids vs. theirs. I would probably gladly share such information with friends that didn't have such a pointed track record of such. [/quote]
