OP here - totally agree.  Dislike "gender" reveals for so many reasons, but this is the most fundamentally important one.  However, I understand not everyone has the same understanding of sex and gender as I do, so fine, whatever.  But this straight up asking for cash from guests who are already buying a gift for your gender reveal AND baby shower AND possibly making you a meal after, just seems SO. BEYOND. TACTLESS. A game is giving out tickets and having a prize.  Holding a fundraiser for YOURSELF during the party YOU are throwing is so far past the line you can't even see the line.  The line is a dot to you, you know?   :wink: [/quote]
