Why do people act so surprised? She ran on a social justice platform. If people didn't like her "agenda" (too immigrant and LGBTQ friendly for you?), then how did she get elected?

Anyway, I feel she's pretty much what I expected. Perfect? No. But she's committed to all of Ward 1 and is the only candidate, so far, with experience across the entire ward and it's diverse constituents.

My primary concerns are education, Latino and Immigrant issues, liberal social justice stuff, and housing. I haven't seen anything from the others that convinces me they'd have more to offer than Brianne in these areas.

Living in Ward 1 for 10+ years or being born here should not be the primary value of a candidate.

Naduea has failed in constituent services.  I didn't vote for her to be the antidote to a republican congress. We need to her to address crime, especially getting smarter on juvenile crime.   [/quote]
