I'm PP, a woman who holds the door for other women and expressed surprise at the number of women who don't say thanks. I'm white, and I do thank anyone who holds the door for me.

To the parent who is being scolded for telling her boy to prompt a thank you, I understand the reasoning of the pps, but I totally hear you. It gets old.

I don't think it's only women who don't notice who's opening the door for them. I've had at least three people (male and female) in that last week who didn't even look up from their phones when the walked into the store while I was holding the door. I've even seem people walk right into an automatic door because they were not paying any attention to their surroundings and the door didn't open fast enough. I'm amazed that these people can ever get through the parking lot without getting ran over. [/quote]
