So do you sit in the front seat after he's parked while he runs around to get your door? Awkward.
I mean getting into the car.

I say 3-5 seconds.
I'm a woman who holds the door a lot. I'm sometimes surprised at the number of women who don't say thanks.
Most white women do not say thanks, minorities women usually do. Also white women will not hold a door for anyone let alone someone encumbered. It must be the way they were raised.
I'm PP, a woman who holds the door for other women and expressed surprise at the number of women who don't say thanks. I'm white, and I do thank anyone who holds the door for me.
To the parent who is being scolded for telling her boy to prompt a thank you, I understand the reasoning of the pps, but I totally hear you. It gets old.
I think most women feel they do not have to thank a man. Does a princess thank the doorman...no! Most do not even notice who is holding the door for them.

Seriously! I'm older than the PP and this is something I feel like someone's grandmother would do. Or a spoiled brat with a princess complex. Egalitarian...don't make me laugh.
