But old school feminists simply can't get past the fact that sex-positive empowerment has suppplanted their tired, frigid worldview. They still fundamentally view sex as something men "take" from women, cheapening and demeaning them in the exchange. This is how they see prostitution, and this is also exactly how they see marriage, coincidentally. A sex-positive philosophy sees women sex workers as desirable service providers, like stilled tradespeople, who offer unique, in-demand services. Are plumbers or electricians ashamed of what they do?
