My MIL helped choose my wedding dress, helped negotiate the price (because it was negotiable), helped with the fittings, then kept the dress at her place until the wedding and drove it 6 hours to the wedding location for me. And then took care of having it cleaned and donated afterwards. She is awesome and was tremendously helpful. I love my mother but wedding stuff is not her thing and having her there would have driven us both insane. [/quote]
