Prep is too expensive for some Heights families. Gonzaga can be a very long commute depending on where you live in VA. Heights is actually quite an easy commute. Right off 270. My son went to the Heights from 3-12. Probably 40 percent of the class was usually from VA. We looked at St Anselms for high school. It has a gentler, more reflective atmosphere in my opinion. People often describe the Heights as more "rough and tumble." We did not miss a nurse but son had no serious health issues. I recall injuries being handled by someone driving the kid to the hospital or calling an ambulance in case of emergency, but that would be a good question to ask at the open house.
This seems scary bordering on just irresponsible. I know our nurse has dealt with a number of health emergencies that no one expected to have happen. This is at a school that isn't rough and tumble so I can imagine way more injuries at The Heights. I wish wonder if it is because they don't want a female nurse around and couldn't find a male nurse?
