Looks like this is going to happen. As a PES parent, I am outraged that DD will have to be on a long bus ride. They should build a new temp school for us, and we can use that while PES is rebuilt. That is the best solution for the PES community, and we should not have to be forced to endure long bus times or any form of inconvenience. MCPS should know that many of us could just switch to any private school if we wanted.
This is why I hate living in Potomac. The sense of entitlement here is exemplified by this poster.
Do you actually think that person is for real? Pretty naive if you think they are for real and I also live in Potomac.
Yes I do. There are many nice people but so many people in Potomac never want there kids to suffer, lose, not make a team or be invited to the latest party. I see it all the time at sports and at school . 20 years of living here and have seen many examples of helicopter parenting at its worst.
Really? I have friends in Olney and Silver Spring who act exactly the same towards their kids. The world is full of helicopter parents and they don't just live in Potomac and Bethesda. That's why there have been so many articles and books written about it on a national level.
That's true, but all the parents with serious money do live there. And they think that means their voices should be heard. This thread is ridiculous anyway. A school is getting a new build. Hurrah! We have a temporary location where your kid can go to school while its happening - again, hurrah! Be grateful, people.
