Really? I have friends in Olney and Silver Spring who act exactly the same towards their kids. The world is full of helicopter parents and they don't just live in Potomac and Bethesda. That's why there have been so many articles and books written about it on a national level.
That's true, but all the parents with serious money do live there. And they think that means their voices should be heard.
This thread is ridiculous anyway. A school is getting a new build. Hurrah! We have a temporary location where your kid can go to school while its happening - again, hurrah!

Subject: Potomac ES to Radnor
Potomac ES has been waiting a long time for their refresh project. Unfortunately, Radnor holding center is the price for a brand new building. Wayside had a similar long commute over to Grosvenor for the past year and a half. Grosvenor had a previous tenant lined up (LuxManor) for the same time period. But I don't think the longest commute came out to be a ton shorter - the BOE studied the issue.
