Slowing the F down is also a proven way of eliminating tickets. 42 in a 25 is ridiculous. That means you were going 42 on a neighborhood street. That's too damn fast. Pay up and slow down.
NO, but I got a ticket for going 38 in a 25 that was in a tunnel below an underpass on K St NW with no sidewalk or way that anybody should be outside of a car. No, you don't have to be driving up a neighborhood street.
+100 I got a ticket for $100 going 36 in that same tunnel.
These complaints about tickets on the K Street underpass are so tiring. First of all there are sidewalks crammed with pedestrians on the east side of the underpass so no the District really doesn't want you speeding through this tunnel and if you are the magic driver who can somehow speed in one place and not another then that means you also should have the self control to simply not speed in the underpass. Secondly and more significantly that underpass is almost always congested and backed up so unless it is after hours you are likely just wasting gas by speeding through there. Not that too many suburban drivers are smart enough to figure out the stupidity of hurry up and wait.
