It's for next fall. Most teams hold a tryout in spring for the fall. Once you make the team, you are on it for the season fall/spring(with winter training). Sometimes there will be a special tryout to fill an open position. We just lucked out on our team. We were doing a DA(developmental academy). Did not know the tryouts were happening, the coaches just grabbed my daughter and sent her to the tryouts on the other side of the field. Unless you are connected to soccer, you really do not even know it exists. It's a shame really. There are a lot of kids who never get a chances because it's a very closed system. All clubs list their tryouts on their own websites. Those with social media accounts announce them there as well. Some of the bigger clubs put signs up around their areas. What else do you expect them to do--Come to your house with a personalized embossed invitation? The only 'closed' aspect to travel soccer is the cost. It's OPEN to all who can AFFORD it. [/quote]
