We are in an odd location (South County) and the SCAA program from what I know is just too immature.
I live in the South County area and we have looked at all the clubs you are considering last year. I liked PWSI but couldn't handle the potential traffic. LMVSC is a nice little gem with a lot of skillful, competitive boys and great coaches. I highly recommend them.
Glad to hear the positive feedback. I spoke to another parent who gave me similar feedback. I got to see them play recently and I saw much more foot skills and great passing. Some kids played a bit rough (jersey pulling etc) but it seemed to be player specific. The coach had to yell at him to not foul. Lol. Guess what he did. Thanks again for the share.
Yes that stuff is player specific because it is definitely not encouraged and we have a few that are a bit rough, but it does up the level of play as well during training. Footskills, 1v1, decision-making, and competitiveness are emphasized during practices and from what I have observed very well planned and executed. Only gripe I have had is lack of field space at times, but that's when they seem to do a lot of the footskills and small sided stuff.

Why not SYC?
I know a number of parents that I spoke to that are not happy with the club. Heard they pulled in some parent coaches which in turn team selection started to favor those kids. Guess might be worth considering if the change things around with the move to ccl2. Open to hear others experiences

All clubs list their tryouts on their own websites. Those with social media accounts announce them there as well. Some of the bigger clubs put signs up around their areas. What else do you expect them to do--Come to your house with a personalized embossed invitation? The only 'closed' aspect to travel soccer is the cost. It's OPEN to all who can AFFORD it.

The minute you get the snarky know it all's like CCL guy and ECNL snob over here, they will ruin your forum. You are not allowed to ask basic questions. They will just laugh at you. Because their daughter used to play ECNL at FCV, and you should just be happy with driving to Roanake for CCL league play. Good luck, wish you the best!
