One club I am targeting for a U Little due to the changes with BRYC.
Also looking at LMVSC. I have been told that they are doing a good job at developing the U Little teams which are then turning into good full sided teams. Any other clubs that you are considering or just going to LMVSC tryouts?
The other clubs I am considering are PWSI and Barca Elite. PWSI is a traffic nightmare depending on the practice times but we had been there before and the level of training and organization is top notch. Looking at Barca just because of how close it is. The others on our maybe list are FPYC and Burke Athletic. Not the best locations distance wise but tracking tryouts just in case. We are in an odd location (South County) and the SCAA program from what I know is just too immature.
I live in the South County area and we have looked at all the clubs you are considering last year. I liked PWSI but couldn't handle the potential traffic. LMVSC is a nice little gem with a lot of skillful, competitive boys and great coaches. I highly recommend them.
Glad to hear the positive feedback. I spoke to another parent who gave me similar feedback. I got to see them play recently and I saw much more foot skills and great passing. Some kids played a bit rough (jersey pulling etc) but it seemed to be player specific. The coach had to yell at him to not foul. Lol. Guess what he did. Thanks again for the share.

Why not SYC?

It's for next fall. Most teams hold a tryout in spring for the fall. Once you make the team, you are on it for the season fall/spring(with winter training). Sometimes there will be a special tryout to fill an open position. We just lucked out on our team. We were doing a DA(developmental academy). Did not know the tryouts were happening, the coaches just grabbed my daughter and sent her to the tryouts on the other side of the field. Unless you are connected to soccer, you really do not even know it exists. It's a shame really. There are a lot of kids who never get a chances because it's a very closed system. You can see some of the attitude expressed by one poster here. Also there is a very large price difference between clubs.
