OP here.  I've never visited them with my son (age 3).  I go once a year by myself for 5 days, and my husband takes the week off work to stay home with our son.  When I go visit them we never leave the house, they are homebodies and just like to watch TV.  It's incredibly boring.  I do not feel comfortable driving around there by myself.   It's a mountainous area and very confusing. [/quote]

You couldn't be a bigger brat if you tried, OP. Did you think you were going to come on here and have all of us agree with your incredibly AWFUL attitude? How the hell does your husband even put up with you? Your parents raised a whiny brat, that's for damn sure. Guess what? Just because your parents sit at home and are homebodies doesn't mean you have to be, too. Get off your LAZY behind and DO SOMETHING. Rent a damn car. Download the Waze app and use it to get around. Use Yelp to help you figure out fun places to go around where you are. Get out of the little town where your parents live and actually visit neighboring cities and towns. GET. A. DAMN. LIFE. You're an adult. You have a child. Stop making so many f'ing excuses to be a whiny, lazy brat and step up and be a good parent. I swear you are one of the top 3 most awful posters here on DCUM.
