OP here.  I've never visited them with my son (age 3).  I go once a year by myself for 5 days, and my husband takes the week off work to stay home with our son.  When I go visit them we never leave the house, they are homebodies and just like to watch TV.  It's incredibly boring.  I do not feel comfortable driving around there by myself.   It's a mountainous area and very confusing. [/quote]
Do you even hear how incompetent you sounds and you lazy you are?  You old are you? What is this nonsense about not driving around by yourself? You do have a smart phone right?  And you drive in the DMV area rated to have the worst drivers in the nation, right? You are your parent's daughter, they sit and watch TV all day and you won't drive around or do anything while there because.... you are just as lazy as them.  All of these are lame excuses. [/quote]
