I am very tall. I check profiles 2-3 times for height and other things before I reply. I swear this guy's profile said he was my height, but after we started texting, I reread it again, and noticed it said he was 4 inches shorter. I think 4 inches is a huge deal, because if I wear heels during a relationship, I am going to be 6+ inches taller. It is possible I missed it. But it is also possible that detail was changed before and after he messaged me the first time and we started chatting. We are supposed to meet soon. I am turned off at this point. What do I do? Meet up? Come up with a lame excuse?
Stop judging a man on his height would be a good start. It's one thing to have a preference and some things should be absolutes but I feel that within the framework that you mention this shouldn't be one of them. FWIW I am above the average height but my father was shorter than my mother and it never bothered them.
