Behind the paywall, so short version: Congress outlawed discrimination against immigrant based on National Origin (sound familiar??) in 1965. So, the EO is illegal.  He will argue national security needs, and then we start pointing out how random the list of countries is.

That said, Trump can lose this one, and still win.  The mere fact he tried will make his base very happy, which is sickening.
