I don't understand why this is controversial. He uses every legal method to decrease his tax liability even if it means paying no taxes.

I do the very same thing - obviously not in the same income league but I also pay very little in taxes though my income is substantial. I have the benefit of an excellent tax accountant and tax lawyer.

How do you know what he's paying or not paying?  How do you know he's not cheating?  He hasn't released his tax returns.  He's being audited; we don't know the outcome.  This is a man with a history of lying and scamming.  If he had nothing to hide and was proud of his tax record, he'd show you his tax record.  [/quote]
